What PriceTrail does

You paste an Amazon UK product link (or an ASIN) into the app. PriceTrail then checks the price on a regular schedule, keeps the full history, and sends you a push notification when the price moves. Tap the notification to jump straight to that product's chart.

Each tracked product also shows every seller's current offer — Amazon, Amazon Resale, third-party sellers — alongside their condition (New, Used - Good, Used - Like New, Renewed, …), sorted cheapest first.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a product?

Tap the + in the top-right of the home screen, then paste either a full Amazon UK product URL (anything from https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/…, a shortened amzn.eu share link, or a bare 10-character ASIN like B0CC189314). The first price arrives within about 10 seconds.

How often are prices re-checked?

By default, every tracked product is re-checked once an hour in the background. You can change the schedule (or turn it off entirely) in Settings → Polling interval. You can also pull down on the home screen or on any chart to force an immediate re-check.

Why is the price in the app different from what I see on Amazon?

PriceTrail reads the publicly-visible product page without being signed in. Amazon shows different prices to Prime members and to signed-in shoppers, so what you see while logged in may be a few pounds lower than the figure PriceTrail records. The trend over time is still meaningful — the price moves in the same direction for everyone — but treat the absolute number as a guide rather than the quote you'll be charged at checkout.

What does "from £X.XX" mean on a card?

A "from" prefix and a chevron mean the product has more than one seller. The number shown is the lowest price across all sellers and conditions. Tap the card to drill into the per-seller list.

What do "New", "Used - Good", "Used - Like New", etc. mean?

Those are the conditions Amazon labels each seller's offer with. PriceTrail repeats them verbatim so you can decide which condition you'd accept. New offers are tinted faint green to set them apart at a glance.

I'm not getting notifications.

Check three things, in order:

  1. iOS Settings → Notifications → PriceTrail — make sure alerts, badges and sounds are allowed.
  2. In the app, Settings → Polling interval is set to something other than "Off". Polling has to be enabled for a price change to be detected in the first place.
  3. Pull-to-refresh the home screen once. If a fresh price has actually moved versus the last recorded value, you'll see the new entry; if you still get no push afterwards, email me with the ASIN you were watching.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Sign out from Settings → Sign out, then email [email protected] from the same address you used to sign in. All rows tied to your account (watchlist, price history, device tokens) are deleted within seven days.

Where is my data stored?

On a private server operated by the app's developer. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers. The full breakdown is in the Privacy Policy.

Is PriceTrail affiliated with Amazon?

No. PriceTrail is an independent personal-utility app. It reads public Amazon UK product and offer-listing pages — the same pages anyone can open in a browser — to record prices. It does not buy, sell, or interact with anyone's Amazon account.

Known limitations

Reporting a bug or asking for a feature

Email [email protected]. If you're reporting a wrong price or a missing seller, including the ASIN and a screenshot speeds things up a lot.
